Delays on both the road and train tracks for Kapiti commuters this morning 15 March 2021
Traffic is congested in both directions on State Highway One after a car hit the median barrier near Paekakariki.
That crash happened just after seven this morning - nobody was injured.
Waka Kotahi says the road is still partially blocked with queues back to Mackays Crossing for those heading south, and to Pukerua Bay for those heading north.
Meanwhile, train commuters are also facing delays, with the 7.38am service from Waikanae to Wellington running half an hour late.
Metlink says that s due to a mechanical issue with a non Metlink train.
